The RGB color system is based on the components Red, Green and Blue. Each color will have specific numerical values for the amounts of Red, Green and Blue that make it up. These numbers will range from 0 to 255 for each of the three. HTML colors are specified as six digits xxxxxx which are actually three two-digit numbers in sequence, representing the amount of red, green, or blue as a hexadecimal value in the range of 00-FF. The number of possible colors is 256*256*256 = 16,777,216. |
